Welcome to my website.
My ideas for my work are influenced by colour.  I never see a blue sky – I see shades of blue, with hints of pink, apricot, maybe grey!  I don’t see trees, I see the colours created on the trunks and leaves by sunlight, or times of the day.  If I am painting animals, I see the different shades in their fur, and the light that comes in eyes.  I am surrounded by inspiration, so never suffer from artists block.
I come from the beautiful Channel Islands, and have been lucky to have travelled extensively, and have always absorbed different cultures and scenery, especially scenery, which is my great love.  Thirty years ago, I discovered magnificent Scotland, which opened a whole new vista for me.  I also encountered the work of many wonderful Scottish Artists; whose work I have found so influential.
I work mainly in oils but use all mediums.  I am on a journey, my work is constantly evolving, and I see it change as I go along.  There is so much more to learn and discover, and every day is an adventure.  A day without a paint brush in my hand is not a good day!
